This was my first time ever coming here. And let me also mention coming to a country bar. I like to consider myself open to most things and from the looks of me it's pretty evident that I am definitely a foreigner to these faculties.
Let me say it is both spectacular and intimidating watching the crowds of people line dance and/or couple up. It's so cool for me to watch the dances while I stand in the sidelines trying to figure out the steps. I'm way too shy and uncomfortable to venture on the dance floor. However a nice young airmen did approach me and asked me to dance. I reluctantly obliged and it was pretty fun-although I had absolutely NO CLUE what I was doing.
This place is perfect for diehards. It obviously generates a large crowd and I can bet that they are regulars. The airmen told me that Wednesday is the night to go. But I imagine every night is the night to go. I was there on a Saturday night btw.
There is a cover charge though, $5. And drinks are typical Vegas prices ($11). I had a Malibu Red or Malibu Tequila which was very yummy.
Not sure if I'll be back though. I think I need to gain some much needed confidence first to hit the dance floor....or a very patient dance partner. But I think I'd just come back to scope out all the (naturally) beautiful people present. It was refreshing not to be in a pretentious, hoytie-toytie (aka The Strip) place or a chill, too-cool-for-school-I-don't-give-shiznit (aka Downtown) crowd.
