I rent monthly and always use two different cards. Usually Aprx 325. A mo. I rented this month and went to renew it and was told they couldn't take the card they have been taking for 5 months. I lost my primary card a few days before the renewal but the issue is with the so called manager who came out front.
He was tall middle aged and customer service isn't his forte. He was rude, basically called me a liar and said there was NO way i could have used the card in the past. I pulled up my june statement with the two charges on it and he said he could care less they couldn't take the card. He was so absolutely nasty i was floored. I made the comment that social media could be a killer for them if this is how he acts and his reply was it never hurt them before.
The wait in line alone is horrible but then to be denied something that i have been doing for months is asinine! He wouldn't take the card complete with visa logo etc... He told me it was fine if i went to another rental agency... And I'm a blue chip member too. Sixt and Payless did my rental and i guess my business didn't matter. Total receipts for the year to date...$3487.21! Oh well...
