| - First of all, my apologies to the owner of ICP, Guy Baker, somehow I wrote a review in the YP app.
Unfortunately someone attempted to paste it into Google, nothing actually got copied so it showed up as my review with 0 stars. Which couldn't be further from my experience with ICP and Guy's staff. That is being dealt with.
PART ONE:
I would NEVER EVER had known about this unless I found out the way I did.
Guy Baker, is a truly a great, professional, personable, empathetic person.
A perfect example is how I found out several mail accounts had been "tampered with", last week I got a call from Guy, he took the time to call me and asked what was my concern, was there something they could do better. I had no idea what to say, until he told me that he likes to do periodic "check-ins", ESPECIALLY if he sees a zero or a 1 star rating. I truly had no ideA what he was talking about, Guy told me where to look and sure enough, but I noticed something right away that told me it wasn't actually my account.
Regardless, does anyone think a big Pharmacy Chain would do that ? Exactly!
I know they wouldn't. I've only known Guy and ICP for18 or so months, in that time Guy has gone, not just for me, way above what I'd would expect, and usually get from some of the Big 3 chains.
I was sincerely taken a back when I got his call, even though I didn't know about it, I felt and feel really bad for Guy and ICP. What really hit home with me was that Guy does truly care about his customers, which is why it really bothered me that he had to see that and he called and asked me!!! That, to me, speaks VOLUMES about ICP and Guy ! Has anyone seeing this ever gotten a personal call like that from a chain pharmacy?
( not likely would be my guess)
I have had to be on some very tightly controlled prescriptions since 1997 and then in 2006 I was diagnosed with Leukemia, and whole lot more prescriptions.
My original review was only after maybe 3 monthly visits but even in that short a time, I gave NO nit do I want to use ANY OTHER Pharmacy.
I relocated from CT in summer if 2015 and even after 3 visits to ICP, I felt like I was "home", I say. Because in the town I live in Connecticut there was a local pharmacy much like guys everyone knew who you were everyone knew know when you were coming in dropping a prescription how long it took to get it when you could pick it up, or call you when it was ready. My being in the healthcare business, I refuse to use my medical plans mail in services. Most of the medications that I get, can't be for a 90 day supply. You get them once a month you've got to be strictly tested, blood taken, all of that stuff and even then I refuse to be another number in a computer. ( sort of ironic my being a CTO of a large health care company)
My point being that my whole family had an opportunity to go to a "Cheers" Pharmacy. Cheers may be a little old-school for most people who will read this. It was a very popular TV show, the shows opening song was. ".... I want to go to a place where everyone knows your name".
