Finally got around to Amelios after reading many good reviews here. I must agree that the pizzas are very good, although you do pay a price premium for such quality. Surprisingly the small house salad that they serve with the pizzas was also very delicious, so it was a great meal all around. We ordered a small Reuben and small Italian sausage for 3 people and neither disappointed. The best part was when I found my new favorite pizza in the Reuben with added mustard and crushed pepper, to die for!!
The restaurant on Milton is a sous-sol small and cozy place. Not good for large groups unless you call ahead and get tables reserved or wait for enough tables to clear. The staff switches easily between French and English so no problem there for a group. One piece of advice: from the moment you arrive do as your told and no one will get hurt!! Haha, that's in reference to the maƮtre d' who likes to boss around patrons and staff alike.
It's great place for an early dinner out near Place des Arts (closes at 8:45pm), order the Reuben for sure, BYOW and cash.
