| - A nice old fashioned ice cream and soda fountain shop with character.
I had the fortune of being able to sample almost every flavor at Sweet Moses with seven of my friends. We ordered the Terminal Tower Sundae, which is the legendary super size sundae served at the establishment. At first, we were wondering if we should order one or two because of our large group. Turns out that Sweet Moses can only make one Terminal Tower sundae at a time because there's only one bowl that can fit all of the ice cream.
Thank goodness they only have one large bowl, because eight people couldn't finish this entire monstrosity. The sundae comes with all of the standard flavors at Sweet Moses plus 2 toppings. You're also allowed to substitute 2 of the 10 flavors for more of your favorite flavor or one of the special flavors. One of my friends hates bananas, so we substituted the bananas foster with another one of the mint chocolate chip. And, it seems they forgot to put the Belgian chocolate into our Terminal Tower. Oh well, it wasn't like there wasn't enough ice cream.
That being said, not all of the flavors were equal. My favorites were the strawberry and salted French caramel. The flavors were very strong in these scoops. I'd have to say the same for the coffee ice cream, which I thought was almost too strong. But these three flavors definitely stand out from what you would get at other ice cream shops or the supermarket. The butter pecan was also good and the cookies and cream was decent. Overall, the least favorite of my friends was the mint chocolate chip. Not that it was bad, but I think everyone preferred one of the other many good flavors.
There were too many toppings to choose from, so we asked the server what would be best. She recommended pretzels. I'd recommend pretzels too, the saltiness is actually refreshing when you are eating so much sugar.
