  • Read all the reviews and decided to try out this salon now that my usual lady isn't doing nails anymore. Pricing is relatively cheap. I called in the morning and was quoted $25 for a regular gel manicure and $5 for any additional nail art or jewelry. I set up an appointment with "Kay" based off the pictures and reviews on here. The gentleman on the phone asked Kay if 2:30pm would work for her and I could overhear her say yes. So he confirmed my appointment was set with Kay for later that day at 2:30pm. I arrived to the salon about 5 minutes early and there wasn't anyone waiting but everyone was busy with a customer. I was able to spot Kay based off of a picture from a review and noticed she was in the middle of a pedi. One of the other ladies sitting at the first desk on the left hand side asked what I needed and I informed her I had an appointment with Kay for a gel mani. She let me know Kay would be with me in a few minutes and I could choose my color in the mean time. Chose my color and waited. While waiting I noticed the lady in the front was talking to Kay and Kay kept looking over at me but I have no idea what was said because they were speaking in their native language. I probably waited a total of 20 minutes before I was seated but wasn't even taken by Kay. The same lady that checked me in had me sit down with her and she said "Im just going to get you started" and while she was prepping me she was asking how I knew Kay and if I've ever been here before. I let her know a friend had referred me and she said oh yeah that's good. She continued prepping my nails and even grabbed my colors. When she opened the first color I asked "Kay isn't going to do my nails?" She laughed and said "Oh I am Kay! Don't worry I can be Kay, I'll take care of you." All the while Kay had started working on another walk in that arrived after I did. I was furious. Clearly making an appointment was pointless because I wasn't taken on time and I wasn't taken by the person I had the appointment with. Not only that, but to top it off the lady kept trying to cut my nails and reshape them how she thought they would look best. I had to say no about 5 times before she stopped insisting. Not sure if my experience is altering my feelings about my nails but I am definitely not pleased with how she butchered my design. NEVER going back. My search continues.
