| - So, we were looking for a 2015 Challenger R/T Plus through the USAA car buying program. USAA sent us to Superstition saying they had a car like the one we wanted at the price we wanted. We arrived and had quite a time getting a test drive. almost two hours before we got to drive both cars. We kept asking them to look at our trade, it was a deal breaker if it was not paid off. They kept saying they would look at it AFTER we picked a car. Finally they find the car we want. It is in Colorado, and if we pay $1400 shipping, they will have it sent here. We finally get them to look at the trade. our 2012 Challenger R/T Classic in pristine condition with a KBB trade value of $23900. We owed $24000. After another hour they come and offer us $32000 for the new car (USAA Price) + $1400 shipping, and then offer us $18000 for the trade. We got up to leave...DEAL BREAKER....They then say it negotiable and try to bring in the sales manager. We told him the car gets the $23900 or no deal. We were so done at this point that we told them to call us when they decide. We left. The next day they called to ask us to bring back the car so they could look at it again. We told them "you saw the car." it's a yes or no question. Again they said they would see what they could do. NOTE: when we spoke to them before our first visit, we gave them our trade info and what we wanted, they told us they would make it happen. FALSE!
Follow up: two days ago, we get a letter that they will pay off our trade, No matter what the cost as a February promotion. We called our sales person and were told Yes and No, they will pay off the trade BUT will only give $18000 toward it and roll the other $6000 into the purchase price. TOTAL SCAM. We are talking to other dealerships who seem more willing to be honest with us.
Follow Up #2: we are filing a complaint with USAA, we are requesting them to be removed from the list of preferred dealerships.
Follow Up #3: Larry H. miller Dodge gave us the car we wanted at the price we wanted and paid off our trade without rolling money into the loan. No hidden costs and we were in and out with new car in 2 hours. Save yourself a hassle and avoid Superstition springs.
