  • This has been my second year in a row attending the PBR and it gets better and better! This year the PBR World Finals were hosted at the brand-new venue of the T-Mobile Arena and it was a great experience. I agree with the previous reviewer that there is no longer a country feeling but this venue is much larger and can accommodate more people, as opposed to the Thomas & Mack Center arena on the campus of the University of Nevada. That being said, I found the location much more accessible: we were staying at the Bellagio and we did not even even to drive or take a cab or Uber there. We took the Bellagio CityCenter - Monte Carlo monorail tram and exited at the Monte Carlo Casino, from there it was a short walk to the event. The T-Mobile Arena has a nice plaza and it is a beautiful building. We attended the Saturday event and we dressed up in cowboy gear for the occasion (I was even sporting my white Stetson!). After going through the security check, we were handed an American flag to waive during the opening ceremony and went to take our seats in The Section 3. The only down side, as the previous reviewer noted, was the much higher prices for food and drinks. I know it is Vegas, but I found the price of $13 for a beer quite exorbitant. The food options were not that great but I hope that this is due to the fact that the T-Mobile Arena did not have enough time to sell the concession stands and that they plan on improving their restaurant options next year. The World Finals were absolutely amazing. We were lucky to get the tickets the day Steven Tyler sang and this alone was well worth the price. He is a great performer and I personally felt like he really enjoyed being there that day. Another thing that I really loved is the fact that this year the National Anthem was sung by the crowd. I felt so humbled and emotional at seeing so many people standing up and singing together! Our seats were very close to one of the chutes were the bulls and the riders were waiting their turn so we were able to see JB Mauney standing in there! For several hours we cheered our favorites who were trying to conquer their bulls in 8 seconds and Flint Rasmussen who is a great rodeo clown, if not the best. Unfortunately, we were not able to see the Championship Final Round since it was held on Sunday and we had to drive back to California. I wish the PBR ended on a Saturday so that people could enjoy the final round without the stress of having to travel immediately after. All in all, it is an experience that we will definitely repeat next year and we are already looking forward to it!
