This comment is not even about the wait. It's the DMV... it is what it is! I am yelping today because of the snotty rude attitude I witnessed with the majority of staff at the Decatur office today. I am besides myself over the poor customer service and unprofessionalism with these State of Nevada workers! Walking around with bags of chips and cookies, drinking beverages, laughing and fooling around behind the desk. Moving like molasses while there are hundreds of people with eyes on them! If I was fortunate enough to be a State worker I would not take my employment for granted, and I would certainly not behave that way in front of the residents whos tax dollars are PAYING YOUR SALARY!!! After 5 hours of waiting, the woman at window 26 had the nerve to say "you can do this transaction at the box or online". As if she didnt want to wait on me! Yes, I realize there are other options for registering cars, but I chose to come in person to take care of all my DMV business today. So sorry that you had to put your snacks down to wait on me! Also, when the price of registration on the DMV postcard did not match the amount she was trying to make me pay, which was a difference of $20 more. Normally you pay the amount on the card the DMV sends you right? She got pissed when I questioned the discrepancy! Then, said she would ask a supervisor... but I watched her walk around the corner for about 10 seconds... never saw her ask anybody anything. Just made up some bogus story about the "postcard arrived too early". It didnt even make sense? The worker obviously pocketed that extra $20 as the amounts just dont add up on my receipt. The staff knows they can treat you like crap because you're obviously not gonna argue with them and get yourself arrested. It is very sad the way these state workers treat people at the DMV!
