| - Ticket price $35 before fees for 4 hours of tasting. I tasted beer, it was good. I tasted bourbon, it was good. I was pissed to hear that for $35 you don't get a plate of food, but have to pay for it, and I was super pissed to find out they were completely out of BBQ by 4pm. How is this getting 4 stars by reviewers who acknowledge they ran out of food?! They have 3 objectives: beer, bourbon and BBQ. If they only even HAD 2 of them, then that's a 66%. If that get's the 'A-OK' rating I'm shocked. If it gets 'Yay! I'm a fan' then I cry insanity!!!
Anyway, on to the good....the lines for drinks weren't long, and there were some good small batch bourbons there, Booker's, Single Barrel Knob, etc.
To make this an event I would even consider going to again, I would suggest:
$25 for a Designated Driver wrist band?! What do they get for $25?! The privilege of watching people drink?
BBQ. A festival that advertises BBQ has BBQ. They have too much. Hell they should give some away for $35 sticker price!
$7 lanyards to hold the tasting glasses?! I suppose a $35 raping to pay for liquor the vendors bring in for FREE wasn't justifiable enough?
