| - I have lived here for almost two years and have very minimal complaints. I think whether or not you like "The Lodge" is dependant upon which side of the property you live on.
On one side of the complex, the "security" fence ends, and you are backed up against the canal on one side, and bell rd on the other side. This is not a pleasant area. I lived here my first year in the complex. Extra roaches come in because you live so close to the wash, more cars are broken into as it is the backside of the community and there's no fence, and we even saw bums (and cops) wandering through the canal a few times.
In our second year living here, we moved to the other side of the complex that faces a residential road. This has been GREAT living. Its blissfully quiet, no afternoon sun, and no traffic noise from bell road. Only complaint here is that my second unit has ants. Little, tiny sugar ants in the kitchen. It doesnt matter what we do...... they keep coming back.
A few words of caution: Security fence doesn't go all the way around complex, gates are often open to non-residents, internet is forced through qwest and often goes down, and cable is forced through qwest too.
A few words of encouragement: Office staff has always been really helpful, maintenance has always completed our requests on time, there is a fairly decent gym, pool is really nice, activity area, and movie theatre. Floor plans are spacious, and some units have garages.
I will be moving out in a month, and unless something drastic happens and I have to take away a star, I give them 4 stars. Despite its downfalls, I think this complex is a lot better than a lot of other ones. I would recommend it.
