It seems that everyone at Mor is simply passing the buck. No one can explain why there are missing parts of a order that was two weeks old, lack of or miscommunication , incorrect procedures for delivery, etc going on. Everyone attempts to placate the costumer (something it seems they are use to doing) until you get so in their face they can't but help admit they were wrong and make amends. The only thing this company has that has kept them in business is a fair pricing of furniture. If they expect to keep customers and survive they had better step up and make major changes because the money I saved was not worth the cost in time and effort just to obtain the item I purchased. Read the following paragraphs for details for their appalling service
We came for a bunk bed set on memorial weekend (5/26/14) and was told that they could deliver on Tuesday June 3. Since I was painting the bedroom I called back June 1 to have it rescheduled for 6/9. I received a message from them on 6/6 saying they wanted to delay the order since they did not have the mattress in the warehouse. I spoke with someone on the phone 6/8 asking if they could just deliver the bunk beds on the 9th as we had schedule and if need be, we would pick up the mattress ourselves at a later date. They agreed and said someone would be in touch.
I cleared my scheduled for that Monday (6/9/14) and waited. Near the end of the day I called the warehouse to check the status of my bunk beds. I was informed that they could not deliver them because they were missing the rails and therefore could not be set up. I asked about the mattress which they said was in (so nobody really knows what is going on there) but that the rails would be in by Thursday June 12. I said I needed to lodge a complaint and needed to speak with management with regards to the last individual that gave me faulty information I was told management would get back to me (which they never did) and then I rescheduled delivery for Friday June 13. I specified at that item that the delivery needed to occur before 7pm as the children would be in bed after that time.
On Friday at 2pm I received a call from the warehouse attempting to tell me my bunk beds would arrive between 8-12pm! I was fuming and demanded to speak with a manager immediately. I was told I'd have to wait since she was in a meeting. I proceeded to call the store from which I bought the set where informed them that if I did not get to speak with management that day I was more than willing to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. I got a cal, back from Cathy who is over the warehouse. She looked over the notes and said she did not understand why my original request for the beds to be delivered without the mattress was not honored. (I guess according to her notes, all the parts were in) she then said that bunk beds were never scheduled for evening deliveries because of the time it took to set them up (does anyone know what their job is there?!?) and proceeded to give me $50 back of my delivery fee and rescheduled for the following day between 1-5pm stating they would call an hour before they arrived.
Saturday June 14 at 5pm I call to check on the status of it since we had heard nothing. I was on hold for almost ten minutes where they could not contact the drivers of the truck and had to call dispatch to find out how far they were. I was told they were 35mins away. I told the man I did not pay for this hassle and my husband and I had plans for the evening starting at 6pm. We had been generous enough to give then the extra hour should they arrive at 5 and it was obvious they would not make it. I then demanded the rest of my delivery fee t be refunded. He said he would call me back on that.
By 6pm there was no return call or delivery truck. I drive to the showroom we bought at and demanded to speak with a manager immediately. Michelle B spoke with me and I explained that our plans for the evening were ruined (it was Father's Day weekend) and no one was getting back to me on the return of the additional $50 for delivery. She said she did not have authority over delivery fees but offered to give us back the money we paid for the mattress (just over $150). I informed her to expect a negative review and that if the truck did not call or come by 7pm we would be canceling our order and never doing business with them again.
At 7pm the truck called to say they would be there in 10 mins. The delivery and set up took over and hour (well past our children's bedtimes) and at 8:23pm we signed the paper eager to get the kids to bed. On closer inspection we found 3 bolts missing!!!
