When I lived in Aliante for five years, this was my go to spot for AYCE. Every year I always came close to letting my frequent card for a free meal expire. So doing the gorilla math, I was averaging just under a visit per month at Sushi Tachi. This place always had me coming back for more. The occasion for my most recent visit was to have dinner with my family that lives on the north side of town.
We actually waited 30 minutes at 7:30 to be seated on a Wednesday night, so the place does get pretty busy. Ten minutes of the wait we were just waiting for the table to be bused. I would always recommend sitting at the sushi bar because the chefs are friendly and give you good service but since we had a party of five we wanted a table. We had an enjoyable visit once we were sat.
I had the AYCE of course and had no complaints except for the uni. It was on the brownish side. The value comes with the Bud Light and sake. I also always down a sake shooter and have an order of amaebi with every visit. One bonus is they have halibut which is not guaranteed to be found on every sushi menu.
A couple dinner boxes of chicken teriyaki were also ordered at the table and for around $11, you get your money's worth: miso soup, salad, chicken, full California roll, and large size order of tempura.
Although I don't come often enough to fill a frequent card anymore, Sushi Tachi still remains a reliable place to have AYCE.
