Restaurant Week (2013)
I forgot my phone when I came here. :(((((
While waiting to be seated, Nick the bartender made me an awesome Manhattan. I'm not sure if Lisa being with us had anything to do with that but it was better than what I had the night before. Was it made with rye whiskey perhaps??
The owner welcomed us when we sat, I love it when they do that! But our first course the arugula was missing so he substitute it with another greens but the nut, fruit, and dressing was still delish.
I left my phone at home. :( I was trying to listen for it on my way there with the chance I might have dropped it but no.
The next course I thought was a red velvet ravioli it was so good. But the stuffing inside the ravioli were beets! The brown butter sage sauce was perfect for this pasta dish.
Because I lost my phone I wasn't entirely lost, 215 and Eastern is my favorite intersection in Las Vegas (technically Henderson) so I had an idea where it was without having Google Maps by my side.
My main entree was the veal sorrenta. You had two other choices of a sole fillet (Christina gave me her remaining fish and it was so good!) and a chicken breast dish. My veal sorrenta came with a layer of grilled eggplant, melted bufala mozzarella, veggies, and potatoes. This was a solid restaurant week choice, $50 with $5 going towards charity. Thank you Gaetano's for participating in restaurant week!
Even if I'm 30 mins late next time I'm never leaving my phone behind!
