| - this plaCE IS VERY LOUD! I MEAN TO THE POINT ITS ALMOST UNBEARABLE!
With that point out of the way, it's a classic Irish pub with mainstay dishes like Bubble and Squeak, bangers and mash, Shepard's pie etc. Burgers are plentiful in many versions, including a black bean burger for the veg heads. Did I mention this place is extremely loud? You'll find Guinness, Harp's and other classic Irish stouts on tap too. By the way, this place can get loud.
Nice menu, the soup of the day when I was there was a delicious black bean soup, nice tender beans bits, a thick hearty broth with nice bits of onion and carrot. I opted to try the veggie ciabatta, described as a variety of grilled vegetable (mushrooms, spinach, peppers, onions and garlic) finished with feta cheese and balsamic glaze. I found the glaze and feta way to over powering for the grilled veggies. Also, the veggies were rather small, diced if you will, there was nothing on the sandwich to sink you teeth into. Maybe some whole grilled zucchini, or a portobello mushroom cap. After all, isn't that the point of a sandwich? Sinking you teeth into something? Epic fail. Oh, and this place is loud! Patrons are like school kids when the teacher leaves the classroom. Inside you'll find regulars, twenty-somethings, geeks, professionals, and the occasional hipster. This place is loud by the way.
Dessert menu changes often, one of the waitresses mother makes all the desserts. This is the loudest bar I've ever been in by the way.
Street parking is the only spots available and you'll have to fight the homeowners for spots. This place is so loud! Oh, apparently this is a golfing crowd, so if there is a tournament on, don't bother to ask the bartender to change the channel on either of the two televisions, not that you'd be able to hear what you wanted to watch because this place is so LOUD!
