Location, location, location - and that's why I would give 5 stars. However, there is evidence of wear and tear in the rooms, internet access sucks, and the access to self- parking is a hassle for hotel guests and that is why I am taking away 2 of their stars.
I love that it is in the middle of the strip and that there are shops and restaurants.
Forgot to pack something? Go down to their shops like Urban Outfitters or Sephora, or the ABC Store for snacks and alcohol. They are also home to Earls Sandwich (24 Hour sandwich spot).
The negatives: Their rooms are a bit older and not as posh as Cosmo or Wynn. The room we stayed in last had a credenza with missing doors and it's lights wouldnt turn on. Also, you could tell there was a spot for a fridge but no fridge. If you self-park, you have to lug your luggage nearly halfway through the Miracle Mile Shops just to get to your car. I guess we could do Valet but then we would have to wait to get our car back each time, and I hate waiting. Internet access? Forget about it. No reception in the rooms or when you're down in the casino or shops (and its not just AT&T because friends on different carriers also have had that same problem). PH's solution? Pay $14 for 24 hour internet access to one device in the room (no thanks).
I will continue to stay at PH because it is cheaper than Cosmo and in a great location, but I will also continue to complain about not having good free internet access and having to walk a ways to get to self-park.
