  • I visited ESPA at the Vdara the last weekend in January, and had a lovely and relaxing experience. I purchased a day pass ($30 for Vdara hotel guests) to use the whirlpool, steam room, and sauna. The spa was lovely. The whirlpool area is very nice, really liked the waterfall in the whirlpool and enjoyed the heated stone lounging chairs in the whirlpool area. The steam room and sauna were both at a great temperature, very comfortable. Loved the cold washcloths that they had available in tubs outside the steam room, especially that they were infused with eucalyptus. The showers were very nice, and I appreciated that each shower had the hand held shower head. Everything was very clean, there were excellent and higher end amenities, including higher end hair products (Moroccan oil). The bathrobes were plush, very comfortable. Towels were soft and good-sized. I hate when spas have tiny towels that if you are even slightly larger than a very small size, if you want to be completely covered you need two towels to do it. These do the job with one towel. There were plenty of amenities available for use, including hairdryers and straightening/curling irons, nail files, razors, toothbrushes, dental floss picks, q-tips and cotton balls, mouthwash, body lotion, facial cleanser, toner and face moisturizer. Everything was plentiful in a nice-sized area, very clean, very pretty. There was also a good selection of snacks, juices, teas, and fruit available. My only complaints are that 1) the ice machine wasn't working well, so several women were frustrated by not being able to get it to give up any ice, or ended up poking, prodding, and wrangling with the machine, and b) it was pretty bright in all areas, including in the whirlpool area. For it to be a little more relaxing experience it would be nice for there to be areas with lower light, and perhaps some soft music playing. It being so bright was a little less than relaxing. Overall, I very much enjoyed my experience at ESPA. We also enjoyed staying at the hotel, so when we return I will definitely try to return to the spa as well.
