| - This place is definitely worth multiple visits, and we will be back. They clearly are obtaining the best/highest quality/freshest meats and vegetables and doing amazing things with them at reasonable prices.
The chicken is prepared flawlessly and creatively.
The spicy broccoli is excellent (and actually spicy), although the aioli is a bit heavy-handed.
The turnips were a bit underdone/bitter but still tasty nonetheless.
Would love a larger beer and cocktail list.
Service is excellent between a variety of attendants.
Sit at the bar/chef's counter if you can. Food is the star of the show.
The panna cotta dessert with blueberries is a can't miss.
The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star review is based on the condition of the restaurant and the bathroom. Unfortunately, the 4'x2' ceiling tiles are not only ugly, but dirty as well. More importantly, the air vents, a couple of which are directly over the piles of various food ingredients and prep-area on the chef's counter, are black with dirt/grime/dust. The thought of that air blowing directly on our food was unappetizing to say the least. This place needs an entire new ceiling. The porcelain cats on the counter should be done away with as well.
Also, for a place this big, they have just one solo bathroom, for the clients & staff. It's kind of run down as well. Just could/should be done a lot better.
The vibe is great here, both in terms of employees and diners. Several locals were remembered by the staff, but everyone feels like a local after a few minutes.
We will be back.
