rev:text	This is an update on my previous review. The last time I came here I had a bad experience and wrote about it on Yelp. Well, shortly after posting the review the manager for this location reached out to me to apologize for the bad experience and advice me that the technician that had done such a bad job had left the company. She apologized profusely and asked if I could come back in to have my next wax done complimentary by a more experienced technician. First off I appreciated that she reached out to me and then to offer a free wax to redeem themselves? That's just going above and beyond in customer service. Today, I went back for the first time and I'm really glad I did. Gill was great! Waxing is always painful but she has the magic touch. She definitely knows what's she's doing. She was friendly, apologetic about my last experience and did a perfect job. I even decided to go ahead and buy the wax package of buying 6 and getting one free. She restored my faith in the Wax Center. Previous review: I usually frequent the San Antonio European wax centers but recently moved to Vegas. The receptionist at this location was friendly on the phone and in person. It was easy to get an appointment and I didn't have to wait at all. The wax technician though friendly was very sloppy. Yes, she said the wax machine in her room was acting up which explains why sometimes the wax was a bit too hot when she applied it but that didn't explain why she was so impatient about waiting to pull the wax off. Usually they apply, wait until the wax hardens and then pull it off in the direction opposite of the hair growth. Nope, she applied it sloppily, stringy wax everywhere and in places it shouldn't be and then she kept pulling at it though it was still soft and tacky. She was pulling at it like taffy! Ouch ouch and more ouch! I left with wax in places it shouldn't be and skin scorched from hot wax. The technician did say she was moving back to California In a week so I'm guessing she didn't care too much about the job at hand. Sucks that I had to pay the price for her lackadaisical attitude. I usually love European wax center because of the great prices but this last visit has me questioning if I'll return.
