This place was closed when I was a child. I remember driving by it and dreaming about all the candy that was once made there and wondering if maybe there was any left behind. If only I could see inside! I'm overjoyed that these ladies recognized the value of this place and went to the trouble of restoring it. They've done an exceptional job with the authentic restoration. The candy is handmade and old fashioned enough to be sentimental but delicious and exciting for today's palate. It isn't just a breakfast joint, it's a community treasure. My grandfather meets his cronies here every morning. Say hi to them when you stop in.
