I have passed by this great small business numerous times this past few months. I probably would have never stopped had it not been for the guides at Flightlinez telling me how much they loved this place. We were on our way back from the Railroad Tunnel Hike and of course really hungry. We pulled into the lot which reminds me of Sonic. I at first thought it was a car hop place but that was just the way the parking is set up. I imagine it used to be a car hop place years ago.
The inside is small with just a few tables. It was clean but had the disarray look about it. The young lady who took our order was really nice. We took a couple of minutes to figure out what we wanted and she had showed great patience with us. I was glad no one was behind us. We choose medium wings, chicken strips, fires and a large chili to go. Our order came out super quick which was great!
The chicken strips were pretty large and a couple of them with fries where a meal. The fries were shoestring size and really tasty. We ordered a small fries but they filled the container they came in. We got the garlic parmesan sauce and honey habanero to dip our strip in. They were both very good and unique. The Honey Habanero kind of sneaks up on you and was on the hot side but not above the heat line so every dip was a good as the first. The Wings were for the wife who loved them. I got here medium in heat and she said they were great but wanted the hot next time.
The chili was really good and had lots of meat. It had a few beans in it which I prefer. Meat was the main item which was pretty impressive. The chicken strips had a light breading coating. Unlike other places where breading is the main part that is not the case here. The breading was tasty and the big meaty strips were awesome. We bought 10 strips and 12 wings and it was 2 meals for the 3 of us. Great food and a good price - what more could you ask for. Thanks Flightlinez team for sharing this Gem with me!
