This dinner was wonderful! The food was delicious! The portions were bigger than I expected, my cut of salmon was huge. I loved the atmosphere. They used china and actual silver for silverware. The service was great, the right amount of attention without being at our table every five seconds. I also loved the dress attire. All the men wore coats and all the ladies were dressed very nicely as well. Not a pair of jeans in sight! My boyfriend wore a suit, no tie and I wore a cocktail dress.
While I am giving it five stars (which it deserves) there were three things that I thought should be noted.
1) This place is expensive, but it is worth it. For two people the bill will definitely be over $300 when it's all said and done.
2) 20% gratuity is added on the bill. And it's added for everything, alcohol and tax. I don't necessarily mind the alcohol so much because they do have a wine director that did quite a bit of work and I'm assuming he is part of the tip share, but tipping on the tax shouldn't be required. That said it doesn't bother me enough to not go back.
3) The only part of service that missed the mark for me was that we were not offered coffee or some sort of dessert beverage. I thought that maybe they didn't have a coffee maker and that's why we weren't offered but when we were leaving I did see a coffee pot in the kitchen. Not too big of a deal as it would have added more money to the bill, but just a note.
Overall I loved this place and I will definitely be back for a special dinner!
