| - I've been here a few times for lunches with people from work, and generally we have had good experiences.
The food is pretty good quality, but the prices are just slightly above where they should be (in my opinion) since most of the items I've tried have been sliders. My favorites are the Black Jack slider (pepperjack cheese, grilled onions and ancho aioli topped with fried jalapeƱos) and the Smokey BBQ slider (cheddar, bbq sauce, fried onion ring). Good stuff. The lunch combos are a pretty good deal, which offsets the price issue I mentioned earlier. I usually get the slider + side + salad combo for lunch (which is about $10), and they have other combinations for that. I've only had the Caesar salad, and it was fine. Several of my co-workers have had the salmon slider and said it was good as well.
I have tried the crinkle-cut sweet potato fries, which were good but not my personal favorite. The cheese curds are great (as many others have posted), but you do feel a bit of guilt for eating batter-covered balls of cheese. It's nearly the epitome of gluttony, and you can feel your arteries harden mid-bite. We did order the Bavarian Pretzels once also and those were good.
Service is usually average, at best, but not worth complaining about much.
If it's cold outside, avoid the table near the door! We went once in February when it was still pretty cold out, and even with a large curtain around the entrance way, we were constantly blasted by cold air when people came in the door. Even in warm weather it's rather distracting. We've been seated there twice (maybe it's their only pre-setup table for 8). I'd recommend asking to sit somewhere away from the door if possible.
We'll probably go back. They have enough variety that it's a nice place to go occasionally.
