| - If you ever visit Madison on Saturday, there is no reason, NO REASON, why you could ever miss the farmer's market. It is the heart of Madison. All the wonderful farmers bring their delicious produce and share it with the small town of Madison.
Over 100 farmers gather every week from April to November around the Capitol Square, bringing vegetables, fruits, meat, pastries, eggs, herbs, flowers, anything you can think of to the market! Locals, and visiting guests, come every single week. If you enjoy a slow stroll, and a good selection of produce, come before 9am!
My favorite things at the market:
Spicy cheese bread - Stella bakery
Blueberries from Flyte family farm
Peaches and cherries from Door County
Graze stand - spinach and mushroom market bun; sausage croissant; magic coffee
Bandaged cheese - Bleu Mont
Apple cider - Ela's orchard
It is just a joy to walk around the square, even if you don't need any groceries. I'm so grateful for this glowing gem in Madison!!
