| - I should let the rating speak for itself, but deserves at least a brief explanation. Sketchy business practices condoned my management, and I don't recommend using their website for a reservation - it's only used to draw you in.
My reservation, and the reason for choosing Budget, was quoted much lower than others. After a long day of flying, ready for the hotel and a bed, I gave them my confirmation number expecting a quick exit with a car. After many questions and clicks on a keyboard, returned a number much higher. Adamant for nothing extra and to just honor my reservation quoted, I was told "got it.". I signed some forms and took the car. After returning the car 5 days later, I found my bill was 3x more than my quote. I'm usually more prudent and than this, but they got me. Live and learn: read what you sign, always. But why didn't he at least tell me at point of sale that he was adding cost? When I asked a manager why they didn't actually verbalize the extra addon costs at point of purchase, I was told that they cannot say aloud any pricing or increased costs because customers near may have a different price quote. Huh? Yes, I said that right. Per management, they cannot tell you what their adding on, they rely on you reading and signing what you want - Shady at best!
And all of this is regardless of what you already agreed to with an online reservation. Beware - it may appear that your saving money by choosing Budget, but they draw you in with a low quote, then rely on your jet lag and hastiness to overlook upgrades and other add-on costs - much higher costs.
