I first have to say I usually love their selection and styles available - despite the fact I rarely find anything that works due to limited sizes.
However! I finally found a dress there that was pretty good, on sale, and I was desperate before leaving on a trip to Europe where I needed this dress for an occasion. I was never told as I bought the dress that it was a final sale or that they don't even do any form of returns - ever - only exchanges or store credit within 7 days on regular merchandise.
On my trip to Europe I found a more appropriate dress and didn't think twice that I would be able to return the espy dress or at least get a store credit if I was past the dates when I returned. This is a general and normal practice of any retail establishment that has decent customer service and actually wants people to return to buy more of their products, thus keeping them in business.
I was told there was nothing they could do and basically I should have asked about their return policy - which fair enough I should have been more proactive, I had previously enjoyed visiting Espy and love their salespeople so I didn't think they would participate is such devious practices and it didn't even cross my mind to inquire about that. Normally when a business needs to sell a final sale item, they actually tell the customers this and make sure they understand before buying. This was not done.
This is why I will never return to Espy and will let everyone I can know about their practices. And as a female in her 30's, that is a lot of their clientele.
