| - I am a lover of the simplistic and classy designs that Tiffany's carries. It's funny how a lot of low ratings for here are from men. Perhaps they don't like it because they are buying for someone else and not them? Not sure, but I have had nothing but superb service from them. From the first piece I bought (the floating heart, when it was popular many many years ago), to my bracelet, a few necklaces and now a ring I couldn't be more happier. There is always someone at the front to direct you where you need to go if you know what you are looking for. Their staff is always friendly. In fact one year I had bought a necklace for my birthday and I had mentioned it to the person who was helping me. The next week she sent me a birthday card! Yes you read right, she send me a handwritten birthday card, not some generic pre-printed card, but she took the time to actually write something in it. It was from then that I knew that unlike a bad boyfriend, I would never break up with Tiffany.
While I have yet to return anything from this store so I can't really comment myself on that process of customer service (although I might soon since I am having second thoughts with the ring I bought - knew I should have gone for the other one I was eyeing!) a friend of mine had gone in b/c the charm she had bought had broken off from her chain and of course she had lost it. Tiffany's gave her a credit for it! No big hassles, no 1000 questions, they just looked up the info on file (they keep a copy of the receipt with your name/address on their systems.
Tiffany's actually has a lot of affordable items - people always think it is expensive, but to be honest they have a lot of things that are under $200, heck even under $100! Pendants, charms, even bracelets. So you do not have to break the bank buying something special for yourself or a loved one.
So take a chance cuz Tiffany's certainly won't disappoint you like a bad first date!
