| - From the very first phone call, I knew this was going to be a bad experience.
First was the lady who refused to set an appointment for me unless I first gave her my insurance information (what if I didn't have insurance?) Then, they didn't call with my husbands SA results when they told us they would we had to wait over the weekend. Then, when we went for the results/consult of the SA, they told us we were 'very unlikely to ever get pregnant without IVF'. When we asked about other options, we were told that all the others wouldn't work and we should just do IVF. Then, we were shuffled between at least 4 different patient coordinators, and no one seemed to know what was going on. A week later, I called back and talked to patient coordinator who was extremely rude when I asked her to confirm my insurance coverage for IVF. She actually said, "AS I TOLD YOU when you were in here LAST WEEK, you are covered." So patronizing. And I am only covered at 60%, she conveniently left that part out, or didn't even bother to actually check. (You really shouldn't speak like that when you're trying to get someone to do a $20,000 IVF procedure!) Not once did I feel an ounce of compassion or caring from anyone we spoke with in that office.
We decided to get a second opinion, and were told by the 2nd Dr. that we DO have a chance of getting pregnant naturally, and that IUI is also a viable option for us, as is Clomid therapy, before we try IVF.
In summary, RRF is disorganized, rude, and seemingly money-hungry to push you right into IVF. I will be getting my treatment elsewhere.
