No no no no. So I checked in. The agent at the desk was literally eating her lunch at the counter as she checked me in. Sure I don't expect them to not eat but maybe not take a bite as I'm standing there? The irony is there's a sign saying please don't leave drinks on the counter.
Anyhow so I checked in. Got to the room. It was about 90 degrees in the room and the ac couldn't be turned in because the handle was broken off. I called and they said they'd send maintenance. They never showed up. Then I went to go get ice and the ice machine was broken. I called they said no ice machine was working. I then turned on the tv and it was so static filled I couldn't see the picture. That was the last straw.
I went to the front desk I said I'm leaving and want my money back. They said the manager would refund the charge the next day and call me to apologize. No call no refund. I called my credit card and they said the manager wouldn't respond to them either. Got my money back through credit card since the service was obviously not as advertised.
I'm sure all experiences here aren't this bad, but half the measure of a business is how they respond when issues come up. And as a Diamond elite if this is how they handle an issue I'd be scared to see how they'd handle someone who isn't. Sometimes in life saving a few bucks just isn't worth it. This is one of those times. Stay elsewhere for a couple dollars more.
