  • This was my first visit to Humble and it was suggested by the beau. We were excited because we actually were having a date during happy hours! We walked in, saw the hostess, and were seated only to be informed that no, happy hour isn't for the "dining" area. I'm confused by this because a.) it's freakin' happy hour b.) this place truly isn't big enough to be called a dining room c.) there is no real delineation between the bar and the "dining" area d.) uh...what is the name of this place again? Humble Wine BAR! We moved to the bar and sat, and sat, and sat. Again, I'm confused because there are 3 chicks standing at the end of the bar holding up the bar, but definitely not serving anyone. Sam, the bartender finally greeted us. He was nice, accommodating and running his rear off because for happy hour this "Bar" only stocked 1 bartender. Brilliant. On to the food / wine options. Well... it was happy hour and I had 4 choices red, red, white, white. Really? Only 4 options. Lame, guys. While I enjoyed my glass, I would have selected others had there been options. I'm sure you can cut the wine prices on more labels than 4 and still manage a profit. Happy hour gets you $2 off any pizza, (most run $15-$17 without the discount), or a $9 cheese plate (enough for two but not much more). The pizza we chose was the shrimp. It was delicious! I mean, REALLY good! Humble is hitting on all 4 cylinders with this one! I also had a nice salad with mixed greens. The salad options all sounded wonderful (prices $7-$9). I think overall, prices are a bit on the high side for my opinion of what this place is. All in all, I enjoyed myself (but that might have been the 3 glasses of wine I drank). I'm not overly impressed with Happy Hour, but considering the regular prices, I'll be coming back for happy hour. Service could be improved with more than one bartender. And seriously Humble, you're a Wine BAR that means Happy Hour should extend to your entire establishment.
