  • The phoenix zoo has definitely been a place that I have enjoyed bringing my kids for years. I bought the yearly pass consecutively for several years so I can't even count the number of times I've come here thought the years and I've never had anything less than a great time. Most of the animal attractions are pretty cool and there are certainly no shortage of them to see. It's easy to have spent a long, but very fun day here. The turtles at the main gate, the monkey walkthrough, stingrays, snakes, elephants and of course the giraffes. ..all of them are amazing. Lots and lots more without a doubt. The splash pads and playground are very cool things for the kiddos to do, especially during the summer months. Zoolights turned into an absolute nightmare...It's just WAY too busy. Parking is HORRENDOUS and going at all has turned into more of a hassle now than anything. It's a shame though because it's quite nice from what I remember about going years ago. It's a very clean zoo, and it has plenty of available facilities when you need restrooms or things of that sort. Food is blah and pricey but that's to be expected. Wonderful to have this place nearby.
