rev:text	I went here for a pedicure. I get pedicures regularly in another state, but I was in this area visiting family. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, I'd rate Venetian Aveda Salon & Spa an "8" on the actual pedicure itself, which was fine but not outstanding, but a "4" on the actual pedicure experience. Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I needed more at that moment than they could give, particularly for $25, or maybe it was the aesthetician who did my pedicure, but I was left wanting more. The pedicure looks ok if you don't look too closely -- my toes are freshly painted; my skin is somewhat smoother -- but I was hoping for a little more luxury. Plus, the back room where the all of the pedicure chairs are located is away from the front windows, so the natural light from outside doesn't reach there, and as a result, the area has a cold, somewhat dark (and fluorescent-lit) gloomy environment. I was looking forward to sitting at the drying station in the front area where the natural light is, but after the pedicure finished, the man who did my pedicure said I should just stay right where I am & let them dry there. I should've known something was up when he never placed flip-flops on my feet prior to the polish. (It's early March & still cold here so I didn't walk in wearing flip-flops but assumed they give you those, like every other nail salon I've ever been to, but apparently not.) I was pulling for this place. I was really hoping it was a quality place, and I wanted to be able to give them a positive review, but the truth is, three stars is the best I can muster. : ( Maybe I'll go back one more time to give it another chance... or maybe not.
