Exactly what I've always wanted! A restaurant with an equal amount of vegan and meat options. Since I'm a carnivore and my girlfriend is a vegan this is our little gem since we both have options. This place is also great because they actually have avocados. As a native Californian I like to put avocados on my sandwiches and this has been a rarity in Pittsburgh. The avocado & turkey panini I had was heavenly. I was not as impressed with the salad dressings but I will definitely be returning.
As for the ambiance, I got the feeling this is a restaurant started by a group of late 20 or early 30 somethings. Decor is cute but there was one waitress. While the place is small it's best to have an experienced waitress to handle multiple tables at once. We only saw her twice in the whole restaurant and it seemed every table wanted her attention when she came by. I don't fault her but sometimes it's best to hire a professional rather than a friend or family member (just taking a guess here).
My only complaint is the hours. It'd be nice if this place was open a little later. It seems you can only eat here if you work in the area and can visit during your lunch break.
