  • Sorry Village, there's a new ice cream joint in town! Made by Marcus ice cream has been floating around for a while, selling their ice cream bars in coffee shops and their glass jars of ice cream in organic markets. It's about time they opened up their own micro creamery! And it is dangerously close to my work... I popped in one day and was immediately drawn to the sundaes. I was able to sample a few of their ice creams and LOVED them! It made the decision all the more harder. I was conflicted between two sundaes because of the toppings and the girl actually told me I can add toppings at no extra charge! Woohoo! I ended up getting the camper sundae and added brownie pieces. Each sundae comes with a freshly toasted marshmallow and, oh my word, is it soft and chewy and amazing. My friend decided to get a single scoop of ice cream and he was actually able to split flavours into a single scoop, which is awesome! They have their freezer on the side if you want to grab a jar of ice cream to go as well as their ice cream bars that I have seen around the city (the birthday cake and rocky road are unreal!). In addition to their ice creams, they have a few scones on hand from Sidewalk Citizen as well as coffee! Which also means that they have affogato if you're feeling like coffee AND ice cream. Between Village and MbM, I would have to say MbM simply because they have more variety to their menu as well as the ability to split flavours. Both have delicious ice creams and highly recommend you pop in some time and check it out to see for yourself!
