Props to Ana and Rachel at EOS for always taking care of us. We have lived downtown for years and looked at the options and EOS had the best choice for equipment, classes and amenities at a competitive price along with awesome staff. Be sure to check it out.
Tragic update. Rachel is long gone from this location and at least two people have cycled (ok, unintended humor) through her role and I have maintained my membership at EOS until today. Special props to Matt the trainer there as I had a number of sessions with him and he is great.
I had interaction with Sarah the area manager as she was at the desk there around a week ago. Shared a lot about my broken customer experience with communication with staff in the gym. She offered to credit my next months membership. I advised that I wasn't looking for free stuff but they had let my daughter come in before on guest pass. She informed me that wasn't included with my membership. Ok, so I left thinking well I need to reassess. Then today, I see the two $39.99 annual renewal fees hit my credit card. I end up having a phone convo with Sarah and told her I wanted to cancel my two memberships and needed the annual fees reversed. She said she had already credited my next months gym fee for one of my memberships (so total of $26), let my daughter use the gym ONE time when I didn't have a membership with guest pass included and she had also offered to give my daughter a 7 day free pass.
Let's walk through this... I received $26 and get then I get the privilege to pay for my wife's membership for another month ($26) plus pay an incremental $80 in annual memberships for a year of gym use I won't receive. WAIT, it gets WAY better. So I tell her exactly what you just read and....wait for it....she says 'I think I have met you half way and now I think you are trying to take advantage of ME'. Seriously? And people want to demonize banks and credit card companies? This is a total scam and tragically it's not a sustainable business model.
Yep, I am done.
