  • One of my favorite places to visit in the USA, a great combination of exceptional atmosphere, really good food, and incredible sports memerabilia. Went for an early meal before going out in the Scottsdale area on a weeknight. Led by their amazingly gifted owner Don Carson, the customer serivce is as good as it gets, combining kindness with true assistance, never a difficult moment, made to feel welcome when you walk through the door. Valet parking plus lots of nearly street parking. Love the extensive menu, so many quality choices, and waiting in the bar area is a fun experience. This is the epicenter of MLB spring training baseball and has been since Don & Charlie's opened, a Who's Who of Baseball throughout its operating hours. Stunning amount of sports history on display, including a Babe Ruth autographed baseball, Hall of Famers in abundance. Tip...get the onion strings!!!!! I never miss a chance to visit Don & Charlie's, as it has never disappointed, a guaranteed positive experience with a great, relaxing social vibe. Strong recommendation.
