If I could give 0 stars I would.
My flight ATL to YYZ flew in 2 hours late. We were scheduled for 10:20 and I booked via expedia for 11:20 rental pick up but I landed at 12:30am. I did not that Routes would no longer be open and that I would be stranded! So I lugged my luggage to the designated pick up spot (Which requires a long walk to the train, train 2 stations and another walk to the ground level) and called and called only to hear on their voicemail that their hours of operation closes at midnight!
Other rental companies are usually open throughout the night, or they follow flights to make sure you are not stranding customers. I was then stranded. So I had to lug my luggage back to terminal 3 to rent from National - a lesser car for more money! This was very stressful and wasted over an hour of my time and the last of my energy.
I called expedia who were very unhelpful and said I need to speak with the company but at this time it was past their hours. They also would not help me with another rental booking at the discounted rates i was supposed to receive by booking along side my flight and hotel.
I am very disappointed about all this. Already having such a delayed flight, being stressed and tired at 12:30am only to find out you've been stranded is terrible.
I called Routes the next day to only be greeted with a ton of attitude!! Then cutting me off (and I was not being angry just explaining the situation) and telling me to call expedia! But expedia told me to call the company! Then this very rude female attendant gave me an email to contact.
I sent this similar explanation asking not to be penalized for this as my flight landing late due to bad weather shouldn't have left me without a car nor a penalty.
The basically replied with the middle finger and charged me anyways!!
For a small savings this car rental company is NOT worth booking with. It is a pain to get to and from, they are rude and not compassionate to out of your control situations and unreliable.
