*The reply from the business is total BS. Haven't met a single person in Vegas who has booked a paying gig through Press Talent or Tru Talent
I would give this company 0 stars if it were possible.
Look at their "filtered reviews" that have been hidden from their rating.
I was approached by one of their teenaged model scouts in a Walmart. She told me I was adorable and should consider being a model. I was delighted because I had only ever done it as a hobby!! I told her that I was short and thought models couldn't be short but she assured me that I had what it takes and could make a great living with them as my agency.
I went down the next day and the waiting room was filled with every type of person you could imagine and, after some casual conversation, we all seemed to be there for the same reason. A model scout "discovered" us. I went into the room to speak with the agent who was complimenting me non stop and telling me how famous I would be. She said I needed a photo shoot to have a professional portfolio and it would be about $1800. I told her I already had half of a professional portfolio because my best friend is an amazing photographer and could easily have a completed portfolio in a week. She immediately changed her attitude toward me and said it seemed I wasn't serious about my career. She refused to look at my photos because they "probably weren't professional enough.". My friend shoots for countless magazine including once for Vogue.. so I'm guessing he is good. She wouldn't listen and got even more hostile. I said I was going to leave and she said I should consider acting and started telling me about their classes. It was then that I realized I almost got scammed.
I did some searching online and found out their name used to be Tru Talent Management. I had heard many horror stories about them so thank goodness I lucked out.
