Only paid $109 a night for a room with a king size bed, so that was a plus. Unfortunately, we had to pay $20 more for the hotel to valet our car--as far as I could tell, free street parking does not exist in Montreal. They had advertised a free shuttle to the downtown area, but I failed to realize that this service was only available for a few hours in the morning. Luckily, there is a metro station immediately next door.
Most of the younger staff was pleasant, but a couple of older men I encountered at the front desk were not as helpful. Overall, our room was clean and comfortable. I wasn't a huge fan of the bathroom--the fixtures were a little rusty and it seemed outdated.
The worst part was their restaurant downstairs. We decided to check it out for breakfast and were kind of appalled at the prices. I know most hotels have expensive menus, but it was seriously $6 for a glass of orange juice. We went back up to our room and ordered one of the pre-packaged breakfast specials for a fraction of what it would have cost us downstairs. It took a while to arrive, but it was yummy!
