I had an appointment here last Monday (January 4, 2010) for CT scans of my lumbar spine and my pelvic area. I got here a little early, as they said to do. I checked in with the girl at the front desk (I'm not sure if it was her or someone else over the phone, but they were really helpful in giving me directions when I was on my way there). While checking in, another girl who worked there sat down and started talking to the first girl. They were talking about girl one's New Years Eve party and realizing that it was a little bit rude to have this conversation with a patient standing right there the first girl gave her a look like, in a minute I'll tell you about it. Sure enough, as I walked away, I heard her whisper that, "I was so drunk.."
I don't mind, in fact, it really didn't bother me at all. I went and sat down in the waiting area with the only other person there and played along to Cash Cab on the TV with him (lol!). I wasn't waiting long, and the young man who'd be doing my scans came and got me (I don't remember his name). I was surprised since he seemed really young, but he was very professional about everything and didn't seem to mind me asking questions about everything he was doing (I was a bucket of nerves). He explained that the IV he was administering would make me feel like, "you're peeing on yourself, but don't worry! That's not what actually happens!"
The appointment was over relatively fast and I changed and left. The only thing I regret about the appointment was that I didn't stop and ask when my results would be done, when I'd be notified and by whom, etc. Otherwise, this was a really good trip for me and I'm glad I was referred to them.
