| - In desperate need of a coffee fix but rushing to a meeting, I popped into this Avenue Road espresso bar to grab a quick brew. My visit was so quick I didn't have time to fully measure the ambiance of the place, which consisted of two semi-full levels of people reading, chatting and working away. The staff seemed friendly, the coffee was decently priced, and it seemed as though much of the food served is made in house. I thanked them and sped away, noting the pleasant sunshine and brightness to this cafe as I left.
Then, as I scurried to my meeting, I tasted this coffee and it was so incredible I literally stopped in my tracks, overwhelmed by its smokey strength and aromatic undertones. This coffee was so good I wanted to equally savour it as I did devour it. I wanted to drink seven pots of it not seven grams. It was so delicious I wish I was drinking it right now.
Seven Grams brews Te Aro coffee, which is actually roasted here in Toronto and, as it turns out, is now called Pilot Coffee Roasters as of January 2013. Not only do I need to go back to Seven Grams to fully experience this sunny cafe, but it looks like I need to add the Leslieville roastery to my list as well.
