Was really in the mood for soup. What better place to get soup frm then a Mexican restaurant. I called my order in. Girl on the phone was very nice. She said it would be about 10 to 15min befor it was ready and they would call onces it was.
I live right down the road so i was waiting on there call so i wouldn't have to wait the whole time. About 20min past bye and no call so i drove down there. Onces i got there i was greated my three friendly young ladies. My soup was already ready. They even through in some chips and salsa.
I ordered the ablondigas (meat ball soup) it had carrots, celery, rice, tomatoes in a delicious broth. The soup was nice and chunky. The veggies and rice were cooked to Perfection nice and soft (falling apart). The meet balls were decent sized but lacked flavor. The broth made up for it though nice and savory. I put my own seasoning on everything but with how good the broth was there was no need.
The tortillas did not last authentic at all and one of them had a weired black spot on it. The salsa was ok very chunky, sweet and fresh tasting. I'm not a fan of sweet salsa my self but if you are you would love it my friend tryed it and loved it. I would come back but would definitely try something different for tortilla soup sounds really good.
