ehh.. this is only the second time in my life going to a tanning salon. it got busy just as i walked in so the employees were a little frustrated. i came with a friend and immediately we were greeted by richard.. he offerred us a tour of the beds right off the bat. he had a lot of knowledge about the different beds and explained in simple terms what each bed had to offer. he also explained the differences between the membership levels.
i signed up for the gold membership for 39.95/month which allows unlimited visits. i can use the level 1 tanning beds as well as the level 2 beds including the stand up.. which is what i was looking for. the beds tend to leave white spots on your tailbone area d/t poor circulation of pressure points so if you can.. use the stand up booths.
i bought the 'almost famous tanning lotion' and it worked GREAT. its kinda expensive. i think it was $36 after my 25% discount for being a new client. you also get $10 off your enrollment fee which is $20(before discount). its $5 off silver membership, $10 off gold, $15 off platinum. the tanning lotion didnt smell like feet and even after i was done it didn't make me gag. i HATE the smell of typical tanning lotions. if you want you can go for the cheaper lotions.. anything is better than going in with nothing since 50% of the rays reflect off your body without the help of lotion.
3 stars cuz i had to wait a while for everyone to get done with their sessions.. even though i was first to get there. the female employee was rude and was taking her frustration out on her co worker. the guy told me it was usually slower in the mornings at 7am when they open and at 9pm.. so keep that in mind if you wanna get in and out!
my co worker goes to the buffalo location.. and she seems pleased with their service. i'll check it out after work on thursday.. hopefully they'll get a better rating than this one..
