This hike was great! It wasn't too hard but it is fairly long. I would say it is about 3-4 miles there and back. You can start out of hidden falls park which is a really nice park. The views of vegas on this hike are really pretty. I would recommend bringing lots of water because there isn' any shade. If you hike halfway you will get the full experience and view. If you don't want to hike it all the way and back you won't miss out on much. This is a great hike which isn't that intense. I would rate it as a beginner level. I have hiked this trail about 3 times and I enjoy it.
Also there is a paved biking trail called amargosa trail as well that is a completely different trailhead that starts at St. Rose Parkway and Siena Heights Drive (between Eastern Avenue and Coronado Center). These trails connect but I would say the trailhead out of hidden falls is probably better for hiking than biking but you could do either or (it is fairly steep in places). The paved trail is probably better for the biking experience. I would do both of these trails on separate days.
