  • Standard rooms are updated, but decor is already feeling a little dated. And the room is much too small and hard to move around in thanks to the built-in desk. Plus they have surprisingly tiny bathrooms. But they do have great views of the Strip. My favorite amenity at the Mirage is the large pool area, heated year round, open 9am till 6pm. It has beautiful landscaping with plenty of palm trees and greenery, waterfalls, a grotto, and privacy hedges around their two hot tubs. Part of my family did the dolphin encounter, said it was good fun but it's hella pricey. Hotel has some fun activities, most cost an extra pretty penny. Volcano is free and pretty cool. We never ate here so I can't comment on the food options. But standard room is just too small and cramped.
