| - I remember the old place in Snowdon. The name is the same, but I doubt if anyone from the old restaurant is around any more. I had an old fashioned, lean smoked meat sandwich, fries, coleslaw and of course, a diet cherry Pepsi. I needed a car jack to pry my mouth open wide enough to take a bite out of that delicious sandwich. Yum, yum and more yum!
The fries, while tasting OK, were not the deli fries of yesteryear, soggy in a tasty way, and the coleslaw, again while OK, didn't have that vinegary, "bite". The Chalet BBQ on Sherbrooke near Decarie, has the fries and Cole slaw I really like. I enjoyed the sandwich immensely though and the staff was very friendly and fun to chat with. I'll reserve a higher rating for my next experience there, and Im definitely going back for more. I'm not used to Canadian dollar pricing, so I can't comment on the value. All I can say is that they really gave me the meat!
