I wish I looked at the Yelp reviews before switching to this location. Compare offices..Mesa has the worst rating. I've actually been a patient for over 10 years but recently moved from Scottsdale to Mesa...so I decided to go to the location closer to my house. (I've never had a problem with the Scottsdale office). The MD and PAs are knowledgeable..but I was very disappointed with my aftercare and lack of follow through. At my last appt the MD prescribed 2 medication to be used together for a very common problem. One medication my insurance wouldn't pay for and is around $300 out of pocket (even the pharmacist said YIKES!) the other med the idiot, male medical assistant at their office told me had to be filled at a specialty pharmacy in Texas?!? When I called the next day in the afternoon to tell them Texas had not called me yet regarding this RX and I would like the doctor to prescribe something I can get in the state of Az..they later called back to tell me that I could actually get it from a pharmacy about a block away from their office [insert eye roll]. I've now been calling almost daily asking them to either (a) fill out a preauthorization to get the expensive med approved by my insurance or (b) prescribe a substitute....and all I get are crickets. No follow through or call back and this has been going on for a week. Their office staff has zero empathy. I am pregnant and miserable and they could care less...I'm not even going to bother going back to Scottsdale...there are a million allergist in the Valley..I'm sure I can find an office that actually cares about its patients.
