  • We used this kennel once to board our dog, but never again. Ridiculous name aside, this place is far too expensive and inconvenient to be worth any pet owners' time. As Kevin A. pointed out, the pickup and drop-off hours are nearly impossible to abide by for anyone working a regular hours and who may (as we did) have a conflict with their travel schedule. Not only do they charge extra for Sunday pickup, but they are completely unaccommodating to their customers' needs. We'd arranged to get our pup between 5:00 and 6:00 on Saturday evening, but experienced a flight delay that held up our arrival and didn't get into Pittsburgh until 6:15. Although we called repeatedly and frequently to let them know we'd be late, the individual at the kennel refused to answer the phone. The result? We paid for an extra day AND the fee for Sunday pickup. Considering the building is a dingy, depressing concrete hovel with a meagre closet-sized slab for the dogs to "play" in outside, this Moldy Bone is beyond subpar--it's just plain wrong. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
