| - I have been at least 3 times when in town as my folks live in Henderson. I'm shocked this place is still open given it's size and scope, combined with a staff that is inept, inattentive and indifferent. I went in after some major local winnings and was considering a new iron set and a new driver on another recent occasion.
I wish there were still smaller golf shops in existence instead of these plastic corporate megastores . A big beautiful store with vacant salesmen and clueless management. My interactions left me dumbfounded . I wish these stores knew that buying online (without sales tax) is an option and one can actually learn and make purchases online-from the actual golf companies directly. If you are going to employ salesmen than they better have a basic grasp of equipment ,equipment history and command over custom shaft options. Especially, if you are forced to sell at pervasive MSRP prices. Their used section is an absolute joke, too. That should be a gold mine area.
Beautiful and neat clothing displays, several large hitting bays and uninspired "hellos" from cashiers upon entry do not substitute for a keen ,interested salesman willing to act and serve as a scrupulous guide . When I know more than a salesman, there is a problem. One tall salesman carried himself more like he was auditioning to be on stage for an all male review. I had to correct him several times, he was not aware that Ping iBlades nor I200s were not forged .
Needless to say I walked out without a purchase and went elsewhere LV Golf and Tennis and bought a new set of Callaway X Forged 18 Irons. Actually,I did buy a Nature Valley bar at the register,I was starving....Now I'm actually regretting giving them my $2. At least I received an impassive "thank you" from the cashier for it.
