Meh. I don't really see what the hype is about this place. The food is ok. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either. The pancakes which seems to be their "claim to fame" didn't taste any different than the ones from IHOP or Dennys. Sometimes I think people just assume that a place is good based on the wait. Kind of like a placebo effect. The atmosphere feels like a cafeteria. Really bright lighting. The seating is by no stretch of the imagination comfortable, it's extremely loud, and tables are super close together. Don't plan on having any sort of conversation with your dining partner. I've been there twice now and the service wasn't great. Here's what bugged me both times. I like buttery pancakes. Both times, I get a stack of pancakes with ONE of those little pats of butter that comes in a foil wrap - like the kind they serve with bread at other restaurants. And one tiny little shot glass sized container of syrup. Both times I ask for extra butter and syrup and the waiter literally comes back with ONE MORE pat of butter and another shot glass full of syrup. Come on guys! Is it really that expensive to bring out a little dish of butters? Really, I'd prefer a little container of whipped butter like most places give but the pats will do- just don't be so damn cheap with them. You should get at least as many butters as you have pancakes. 3 pancakes = 3 butters. The last time we went, first my drink order was wrong and they also brought me out the wrong omelet. Granted the waiter was apologetic and took care of it, but still. Oh, and they only serve Pepsi products- blech.
